Contraband Countryband are a psychedelic country outfit based out of Seattle. Employing a wide definition of country and a dedication to craft and groove, the Contraband Countryband perform in the tradition of countless honky-tonk and barn dance bands playing for the people on an endless Saturday night - albeit with a penchant for psychedelic guitar solos and some more off-the-wall cover choices.

On a given night mix of original numbers and covers of country classics from Waylon, Willie, Hank, George (Strait) and also doing rearrangements of Jimi and Deep Purple or straight takes of Blue Oyster Cult and Garth Brooks. 

The Contraband Countryband has self-produced and self-released six albums, the most recent of which Stopgap Souvenirs was released in 2025 and features a mix of original songs, extended guitar solos over old rock classics, and a 10+ live medley that touches on Ornette Coleman and the Stooges.
